In November 2023, the partnership was celebrated via the release of a song called &#8216;Perfect Nights&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e62474b1\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The first collaboration also included a range of limited-edition skins and challenges for players to complete.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e6247c2d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Since its release, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////www.youtube.com//watch?v=hLvWy2b857I\%22 target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the song<\/a> \u2014 which featured promotions of Overwatch 2&#8217;s skins \u2014 has generated over 110m views on YouTube. Moreover, the track has accumulated over 400m streams on audio streaming platform <strong>Spotify<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e624839e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time that esports and games have tapped into the K-pop industry to create unique collaborations. In 2022, popular group Blackpink released a <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////www.youtube.com//watch?v=gvh06gYmXoA\%22 target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">collaborative track with PUBG Mobile<\/a>. Moreover, the likes of <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2023//09//k-pop-newjeans-league-of-legends-worlds-anthem/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New Jeans<\/a>, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//07//riot-games-kiss-of-life-mark-tuan-valorant-champions-2024-anthem/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KISS OF LIFE<\/a> and <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2022//10//t1-kpop-group-the-boyz-worlds-2022-anthem/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THE BOYZ<\/a> have been involved in esports-focused projects. <\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e6248b10\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>In addition to the partnership, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////overwatch.blizzard.com//en-gb//news//24177197//overwatch-2-spotlight-a-new-era-of-innovation-and-excitement///" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Overwatch 2 Spotlight<\/a> unveiled the debut of &#8216;Perks&#8217; gameplay. Perks are hero-specific bonuses designed to add another layer of strategy to casual and competitive matches.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-heading-67cf5e62492f0\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n  \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-overwatch-2-esports-in-2025\"><span id=\"overwatch_2_esports_in_2025\">Overwatch 2 Esports in 2025<\/span><\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e6249a9f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>During the Spotlight, Blizzard Entertainment recapped <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">that the\u00a0<strong>Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS)<\/strong>\u00a0will expand to three stages for all regions alongside three in-person events that will take<\/span> place after each stage.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e624a5d7\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The OWCS has also integrated online tournament platform <strong>FACEIT<\/strong> into its competitive ecosystem to provide players with more opportunities to compete.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e624afc8\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>As a result of the integration, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//12//overwatch-esports-sean-miller-owcs-future-interview/">the 2025 OWCS season<\/a> will feature promotion and relegation. The top two regular season teams and the top two FACEIT League Masters teams will compete for the two remaining spots in the OWCS regular season.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e624b73a\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Another notable change comes in the form of the <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2025//01//overwatch-2-2025-owcs-partner-teams/">OWCS partner programme<\/a>, an initiative designed to support teams competing in the league.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5e624bf6c\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Teams competing in Overwatch 2 esports will benefit from the income generated through the sale of in-game cosmetics. Overwatch 2 is one of several esports to utilise a partner programme.
