Image credit: Michal Konkol, Ubisoft<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e2bc3\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Matheus &#8216;Budega&#8217; Figueiredo<\/strong>, the coach for <strong>M80<\/strong>&#8216;s Rainbow Six Siege team, has received a two-year suspension from <strong>BLAST<\/strong>&#8216;s R6 tournament circuit.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e33f8\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The decision follows <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2025//02//m80-coach-ban-at-six-invitational/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an altercation<\/a> between Budega and <strong>DarkZero Esports<\/strong> following M80&#8217;s match at the Six Invitational on February 9th, 2025.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"keep-reading \"  id=\"kr-67cf6149e434d\">\n  <div class=\"heading\">Keep Reading<\/div>\n  <ul class=\"d-flex flex-column\">\n          <li id=\"post-166504\" style=\"order: 1;\"><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2025//02//m80-coach-ban-at-six-invitational/" target=\"_blank\">M80 Coach and Team Manager ejected from Six Invitational following DarkZero match<\/a><\/li>\n          <li id=\"post-160716\" style=\"order: 2;\"><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//12//rainbow-six-siege-esports-world-cup-2025/" target=\"_blank\">Rainbow Six Siege added to 2025 Esports World Cup line-up<\/a><\/li>\n          <li id=\"post-160049\" style=\"order: 3;\"><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//11//rainbow-six-esports-revenue-programme/" target=\"_blank\">Rainbow Six reveals revamped esports revenue programme and selected teams<\/a><\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e54ad\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Following M80&#8217;s 2-1 loss to DarkZero, the North American esports organisation&#8217;s coach confronted the winning team, likely regarding Ubisoft&#8217;s decision to award the fourth round to DarkZero after M80 allegedly broke rules following warnings from tournament staff.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e5c32\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Figueiredo can be heard in the <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////x.com//DarkZeroGG//status//1888689463691186323/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">background of an interview<\/a> with DarkZero&#8217;s coach after the match concluded.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e63b0\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>After investigating the matter further, BLAST announced it has issued Budega with a two-year ban from all Rainbow Six events operated by event organiser <strong>BLAST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e6b13\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>As a result of the ban, Budega won&#8217;t be able to participate in any BLAST R6 events until the conclusion of the 2027 Six Invitational.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e7283\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>In addition to the two-year suspension, the organisation has received a $10,000 (~\u00a38,085) fine and M80&#8217;s Team Manager, <strong>Igor Vivas<\/strong>, received a minor misconduct penalty.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e79e0\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>After losing to DarkZero in the upper bracket of the Six Invitational, M80 played against Japanese team CAG Osaka where the latter scored a 2-0 victory eliminating M80 from the tournament.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e8147\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The ban is the first for Rainbow Six in 2025. The last time bans were issued was<a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////siege.gg//news//argentinian-players-vj-and-dirty-to-get-two-year-ban/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> in November 2024<\/a> when Argentinian players <strong>Gonzalo &#8216;DirTy&#8217; Acosta <\/strong>and <strong>Valentino &#8216;VJ&#8217; Jaime<\/strong> received two-year suspensions after breaching betting rules.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf6149e88c3\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The 2025 edition of the Six Invitational is Rainbow Six Siege&#8217;s largest tournament of the year.
