Rocket League&#8217;s largest tournament will take place a week later, from September 9th to 14th, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cadce\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The 2025 <strong><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////www.fortnite.com//competitive//news//fncs-is-back-for-2025/">Fortnite Global Championship<\/a><\/strong> will feature 33 teams competing for a share of a $2m (~\u00a31.6m) prize pool. The qualification process requires teams to achieve high placements at its three Major competitions taking place throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cb550\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Rocket League&#8217;s World Championship sees 20 teams from around the world playing for its $1.2m (~\u00a3965,188) prize pool. France has seen plenty of success in the car football game with seven former world champions hailing from the country.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cbcea\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>This is not the first time that BLAST has hosted FNCS (Fortnite Championship Series) and RLCS&#8217; (Rocket League Champion Series) biggest events of the year in the same location. 2024&#8217;s tournaments took place at the <strong>Dickies Arena<\/strong> in Fort Worth, Texas.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cc621\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The Fortnite pair of Peter &#8216;Peterbot &#8216; Kata and Miguel &#8216;Pollo&#8217; Moreno claimed first place in 2024, securing \u00a3400,000 (~\u00a3321,900).<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10ccdcb\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Last year&#8217;s Rocket League World Championship was won by Swiss esports organisation <strong>Team BDS<\/strong> which defeated <strong>G2 Esports<\/strong> in the Grand Finals to win $300,000 (~\u00a3241,419).<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cd54c\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>In recent years, France has expanded its involvement in hosting esports events after revealing plans to launch <strong><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2023//01//france-esports-strategy-ecosystem/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a national ecosystem<\/a><\/strong> in 2023.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cdcf7\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Since then, the country has hosted a Counter-Strike Major in Paris and the <strong><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2023//01//lec-season-finals-2023-france/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LEC Season Finals<\/a><\/strong> in Montpellier. <\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10ce46e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>In addition to Rocket League and Fortnite World Championships, 2025 will see the <strong><a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//07//evo-france-announced-for-october-2025/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Evolution Championship Series (EVO)<\/a><\/strong> host an event in Nice in October, marking the first time the tournament organiser has hosted an EVO event in Europe. Moreover, VALORANT Champions 2025 will be hosted in Paris. <\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a10cec0a\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>2025 is the first year that the <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//09//rlcs-2025-format-changes/">RLCS is using a new format<\/a>.
