The platform addresses a broad range of disputes, including integrity-related matters, commercial disputes, intellectual property (IP) conflicts and contractual disagreements.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc6897\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>ESIC noted that a panel of specialised arbitrators and mediators with an understanding of the industries\u2019 nuances and challenges will be used to resolve disputes swiftly and across the globe, regardless of jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc7008\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>In addition to the tribunal, a series of public webinar information sessions will soon be made available. The webinars will inform stakeholders about IGET\u2019s dispute resolution offerings, the steps involved in bringing a matter to the tribunal as well as how to incorporate the IGET model clause into agreements.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc7778\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Moreover, attendees will be able to ask questions directly from IGET representatives. Further information on the webinars will be published on the <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////www.iget.gg///" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tribunal\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc7ee9\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Following the creation of the tribunal, ESIC will immediately transition the functions of its Independent Appeals Panel to IGET, making it the exclusive jurisdiction for all ESIC appeals.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc8656\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>\u201cThe launch of IGET is a significant and important milestone for the global video games and esports industries,\u201d said <strong>ESIC\u2019s CEO, Stephen Hanna.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc8db0\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>\u201cBy combining ESIC\u2019s expertise in maintaining integrity with WIPO\u2019s authority in intellectual property dispute resolution, this initiative will ensure that disputes are handled professionally and swiftly, maintaining the integrity that underpins these industries\u2019 growth and credibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-heading-67cf667fc95b9\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n  \n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-are-esic-and-wipo\"><span id=\"who_are_esic_and_wipo\">Who are ESIC and WIPO<\/span><\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fc9d27\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Founded in 2018, ESIC aims to protect youth, promote industry investment and safeguard the sporting integrity of esports by addressing integrity breaches in the industry. This notably includes cheating and match-fixing. To achieve its goals, the commission has partnered with various relevant stakeholders, such as <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//09//esic-and-moonton-games-secure-mobile-esports-partnership/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">game publishers<\/a>, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//09//esl-faceit-group-esic-global-esports-summit/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tournament organisers<\/a>, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//06//esic-international-olympic-committee-esports/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sports governing bodies<\/a> and <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2023//02//gg-bet-to-fight-esports-corruption-through-esic-partnership/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bookmakers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf667fca4aa\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Last year, ESIC launched its esports integrity education platform, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//04//esic-fairplay-academy-esports-integrity-education-platform/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FairPlay Academy<\/a>.
