Epic Games says the average daily player count increased by 15% compared to 2023.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a3447606\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The review also reports Fortnite players spent over five billion hours playing games made by creators. Five billion hours equates to approximately 36.5% of Fortnite&#8217;s total playtime in 2024.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-heading-67cf5a3447e2f\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n  \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fortnite-esports-in-2024\"><span id=\"fortnite_esports_in_2024\">Fortnite esports in 2024<\/span><\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a344859d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>While Fortnite&#8217;s creator programme continues to set impressive records, the free-to-play battle royale&#8217;s esports scene also saw growth throughout 2024.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a3448d1f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//09//fortnite-fncs-2024-global-championship/">FNCS Global Championship<\/a> recorded peak viewing figures of 809,000 marking an 80,000 increase from the 2023 edition of the tournament.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a344947d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>2024 was the first year the FNCS was operated by <strong>BLAST<\/strong> after <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//01//blast-fncs-rlcs-rocket-league-fortnite/">signing a multi-year deal <\/a>with Epic Games in January.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a3449bea\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Growth also continued for Fortnite esports ahead of the FNCS Global Championship that took place in September. Stock car racing series <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"////esportsinsider.com//2024//09//nascar-blast-fncs-global-championship-rocket-league-world-championship/">NASCAR<\/a> partnered with the tournament to host online and in-person activations.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf5a344a349\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Outside of Epic Games-sanctioned tournaments, event organiser ESL FACEIT Group expanded into Fortnite in April 2024.
