Ushered in for the new season, Atakham features two forms. Which one will present itself depends on the number of kills that have happened by the time the 14th minute comes along.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0902f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>There\u2019s also a new early-game reward system in the form of improved boots for the team that takes two out of three objectives: first blood, first tower or first monster. Image credit: LEC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0a825\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Format-wise, the LEC will continue to operate with three splits in 2025 <strong>(Winter, Spring and Summer<\/strong>), however, each one will now have a unique format.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0afbf\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The LEC Winter Split is the most similar to the LEC\u2019s previous iteration last year \u2014 a 10-team best-of-one (BO1) round-robin group stage that leads to a double-elimination playoff bracket after three weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0b731\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The main addition to the Winter Split will actually be the introduction of <strong>Fearless Draft<\/strong>, a system which bans players from selecting champions that have been previously played in their series.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0be8f\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>For example, if a best-of-five (BO5) series goes to the last game, players will be unable to select any champion used throughout the series. When you add in traditional bans, this means the fifth game will see 50 champions removed from that final match (40 Fearless Bans and 10 traditional bans).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0c5fb\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>For the first three weeks of the LEC Winter Split, Fearless Draft will not be utilised. This is because all 10 LEC teams will compete in BO1s to decide playoff seeding, with the bottom two teams eliminated from the competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0cd68\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The remaining eight teams will then compete in a double-elimination bracket with BO3s and BO5s to decide the 2025 LEC Winter Split Champion. The winner will go on to represent EMEA at Riot Games\u2019<a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2025//01//first-stand-league-of-legends-first-international-event-of-2025-unveils-format/"> new international event, First Stand<\/a> in South Korea. This stage will remain on one single patch (15.3 \/ 25.S1.3) to uphold competitive integrity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0dd9b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The\u00a0LEC Winter Split will also entirely take place at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-heading-67cf723c0e540\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n  \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lec-2025-winter-split-teams\"><span id=\"lec_2025_winter_split_teams\">LEC 2025 Winter Split Teams<\/span><\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c0eca7\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Being a franchised league, the LEC rarely sees teams come and go but this year there has been a name change. In fact, no team has stuck with the same roster from the previous LEC Summer split.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c1103e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Starting with <strong>Fnatic<\/strong>, the UK organisation made major changes to its bot lane, replacing\u00a0 Oh \u2018Noah\u2019 Hyeon-taek with a returning <strong>Elias &#8216;Upset\u2019 Lipp<\/strong>. Meanwhile, former G2 Esports player <strong>Mihael \u2018Mikyx\u2019 Mehle<\/strong> is the team\u2019s new Support, taking over from Yoon \u2018Jun\u2019 Se-jun.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c117a3\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>G2 Esports<\/strong> changed its Jungler from Martin \u2018Yike\u2019 Sundelin to LEC debutant <strong>Rudy \u2018SkewMond\u2019 Semaan<\/strong> and <strong>Labros &#8216;Labrov&#8217; Papoutsakis<\/strong> replaces Mickyx in the Support role..\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c11f0c\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>GIANTX <\/strong>has also gone through some significant changes in the off-season. With four new players: Mid Laner Adam \u2018Jackies\u2019 Je\u0159\u00e1bek is joined by <strong>Eren \u2018Lot\u2019 Y\u0131ld\u0131z<\/strong>, <strong>Can \u2018Closer\u2019 \u00c7elik<\/strong>, and former Fnatic duo <strong>Noah<\/strong> and <strong>Jun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c12671\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Team Heretics<\/strong> followed a similar path to GIANTX with Bot Laner Victor \u2018Flakked\u2019 Lirola the only player to retain his role. <strong>Carl \u2018Carlsen\u2019 Carlsen<\/strong> (Top Lane), <strong>Th\u00e9o \u2018Sheo\u2019 Borile<\/strong> (Jungle), <strong>Kamil \u2018Kamiloo\u2019 Haudegond<\/strong> (Mid) and <strong>Paul \u2018Stend\u2019 Lardin <\/strong>( Support) join the new-look Heretics line-up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c12dcd\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Karmine Corp<\/strong> made two high-profile changes to its roster for the 2025 Winter Split. Firstly, the French organisation enlisted the services of former G2 Jungler <strong>Yike<\/strong> to replace Closer. Moreover, Karmine Corp has promoted 18-year-old prospect <strong>Caliste \u2018Caliste\u2019 Henry-Hennebert<\/strong> to the team\u2019s roster.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c13545\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Whilst <strong>Movistar KOI<\/strong> underwent a major name change, the team was the most conservative organisation in the LEC off-season. Image credit: Movistar KOI, <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////x.com//MovistarKOI//status//1865093583604171149/">via X<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c13ddf\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Rogue<\/strong> has kept the services of Mid Laner Emil \u2018Larssen\u2019 Larsson, however, an entirely new roster surrounds him.\u00a0<strong>Adam \u2018Adam\u2019 Maanane<\/strong> (Top) replaces Finn &#8220;Finn&#8221; Wiest\u00e5land and <strong>Kim \u2018Malrang\u2019 Geun-seong<\/strong> takes Mark \u2018Markoon\u2019 van Woensel&#8217;s place in the Jungle. <strong>Patrik<\/strong> is the team\u2019s new Bot Laner with <strong>Lee \u2018Execute\u2019 Jeong-hoon<\/strong> joining as Rogue\u2019s Support.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c14539\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>SK Gaming<\/strong> kept only two players \u2014 Isma\u00efl \u2018Isma\u2019 Boualem (Jungler) and Cho \u2018Rahel\u2019 Min-seong (Bot Laner) \u2014 while opting to put<strong> Janik \u2018JNX\u2019 Bartels<\/strong> in the top lane and <strong>Kim \u2018Loopy\u2019 Dong-hyeon<\/strong> in the Support role. Former MAD Lions Mid Laner <strong>Steven \u2018Reeker\u2019 Chen <\/strong>is also back in the LEC following a spell at Team BDS Academy (alongside JNX).<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c14cae\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Following Team BDS Academy\u2019s EMEA Master Summer Split victory, <strong>Team BDS <\/strong>has promoted its Support<strong> Polat \u2018Parus\u2019 \u00c7i\u00e7ek<\/strong> to the main roster. Moreover, the organisation made two other roster changes, bringing in <strong>Joel \u2018Irrelevant\u2019 Scharoll<\/strong> as its Top Laner and <strong>Do\u011fukan \u2018113\u2019 Balc\u0131<\/strong> as the team&#8217;s Jungler.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c15435\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Finally, <strong>Team Vitality<\/strong> also decided to replace its Top Laner, going from Kyeong \u2018Photon\u2019 Gyu-tae to <strong>Kaan \u2018Naak Nako\u2019 Okan<\/strong>. Moreover, <strong>Mateusz \u2018Czajek\u2019 Czajka<\/strong> replaces Team Vitality\u2019s former Mid Laner Vincent \u2018Vetheo\u2019 Berri\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-heading-67cf723c15bd4\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n  \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lec-2025-schedule\"><span id=\"lec_2025_schedule\">LEC 2025 Schedule<\/span><\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c16346\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>LEC Winter Split games will start at 6pm CET (5pm GMT) on competition days and there will always be a pre-show beforehand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf723c16a9d\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The competition will pause for a week following the Group Stages to give teams time to reset and prepare for the Playoffs which will start on February 15th.
