Moreover, Guild Esports remains in discussions with \u2018other parties.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf680848b94\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Nevertheless, DCB Sports would assume and run the Guild brand if the acquisition were to go through. This includes providing capital to allow the organisation to operate \u2018on a stable financial platform\u2019 and developing its existing partnerships.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf680849301\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports,<\/strong> commented on the potential acquisition: &#8220;The Board is looking to secure the long-term future of Guild Esports, both the PLC and the iconic Guild brand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf680849a66\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>\u201cOur deal with DCB Sports is an important step in that direction, as DCB Sports will allow Guild&#8217;s management to deliver on its strategic aims of building a world-class gaming-led media brand. Further announcements will be made in due course.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084a1c1\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Based in California, United States, DCB Sports is an investment management company that is largely involved in the sports sector. According <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////www.londonstockexchange.com//news-article//GILD//proposed-asset-acquisition-by-dcb-sports//16601638/">to the announcement<\/a>, the company has invested in Italian football club Venezia FC and The Bay Golf Club, a team set to compete in a new indoor golf league called TGL. Moreover, DCB Sports led a consortium to <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////big3.com//news//big3-teams-will-all-represent-home-markets-starting-with-2025-season///">purchase a Los Angeles-based team<\/a> in Big3, a 3v3 basketball league.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084a93a\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>If the purchase of Guild\u2019s assets goes through, this will be the company\u2019s first investment in esports.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084b0bb\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The news of Guild Esports\u2019 potential purchase follows an announcement by the organisation last week in which it was exploring financial solutions. <a href=https://esportsinsider.com/"https:////esportsinsider.com//2024//08//guild-esports-financial-options-lack-of-cash/" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">As of July 31st, the organisation\u2019s cash position was \u00a325,000.<\/a> Guild Esports\u2019 liabilities totalled \u00a31.36m until September 2024, with its accounts receivable\u00a0 \u2014 the amount Guild is owed \u2014 amounting to \u00a31.52m.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084b82b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>Some of the solutions discussed in the previous announcement included securing additional funding, negotiating with creditors, \u2018disposing\u2019 of assets or becoming part of a larger group.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084bf98\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p>The Guild Esports and DCB Sports transaction remains subject to factors such as entering into a definitive legal agreement and completing a due diligence process.<\/p>\n\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-67cf68084c70b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n    \n<p><strong>Gary LaDrido, Managing Partner of DCB Sports,<\/strong> added: &#8220;Esports is the perfect combination of sports, gaming and entertainment.
